SQL Server Encryption: Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) & SQL Server Over SSL
Securing your data is becoming increasingly important for data professionals. This session will cover some of the encryption features available in SQL Server such as Transparent Data Encryption and SQL Server Over SSL. TDE allows the SQL Server to encrypt the data as it is written to the hard drive, and decrypts the data as it is read from the hard drive into memory. SQL Server Over SSL can use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt data that is transmitted across a network between an instance of SQL Server and a client application. Join us for an overview of this encryption techniques and learn how to implement them with some sample scenarios and demos.
