Join us for the Texas Hill Country's largest Paddling Festival
Springs Fest 2014
on the beautiful San Marcos river
There will be kayak & SUP demos from 9:00 to noon. In fact, we'll be playing with the incredible new Jackson whitewater SUP at this festival. Bring your old gear, used gear and never used gear for the Gear SWAP. Join us for one of our kayaking classes and get your paddle on.
We'll be teaching Stroke Efficiency, Rolling and Bracing, plus Kayak (& SUP) Surfing!
Or, try your hand at some SUP Yoga, paddle in our Kayak Diva class or introduce your kids to kayaking in our Kids and Kayaks class. Bring your lawn chair or plan on competing in one of our afternoon competitions. Starting with Boater X, then SUP surfing and finally Freestyle, you'll be cheering everyone on!
We will finish the day with awards and prize giveaways.
The river is 72 degrees so it is always nice - warm in the winter and cool in the summer!
Don't miss kicking off your 2014 river time on the finest river in the state - our own San Marcos River.

When & Where
Bayou City Outdoors
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Typically most BCO events are for adults. But, we do love kids. If you believe your child is capable of keeping up with the group, no problem. AND if this is a bike ride they MUST wear a helmet. Questions? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We add parking details to the Event descriptions.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
If the temperature is above 80 or it very clearly says "No Dogs" then please don't bring your dog. We LOVE dogs and only make this rule if we feel there could be a safety concern (for the dogs of course:).
BIKE: If it is a bike ride: Bring a helmet or borrow one from us. Helmets are the single most important piece of gear you can have on a bike ride. Anyway, any time you are wearing a helmet you must be having fun!
Bring water. Frequently our events are in the woods or out of the way. Water is important.
HIKE: If it is a hiking event wear comfortable shoes. Athletic shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, just be sure your feet will be happy.
SOCIAL: If it is a social event? Wear whatever YOU feel comfortable in. We are an eclectic mix of people with all types of interests and jobs. People will come straight from work in a suit or jeans, straight from running or working out, and some of us even come cleaned up straight from the shower! (and everything in between)
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Can I update my registration information?
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printed ticket or download the EventBright app and bring it on your phone.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds up until 48 hours before. Or, better yet, get some goodwill by sharing your ticket with a friend. They will love you even more after all the fun they had at the BCO event!
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes - see love & friendship above!
