PUSH Dance Company invites you to see Point Shipyard Project at MoAD Museum of the African Diaspora on Saturday-Saturday, May 29-30, 2014. This is a special collaboration between PUSH and 3rd St Youth Center & Clinic that reveals clues into the lives and future of youth ages 12-24 affected by the Bayview Hunters Point Naval Shipyard's redevelopment and reintroduction into the neighboring area.
Dubbed by SF Chronicle as “pushing the boundaries,” choreographer Raissa Simpson brings her most visually compelling work about to the Museum of the African Diaspora in downtown San Francisco. The company presents Point Shipyard Project in its 4th collaboration with 3rd St Youth Center & Clinic.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Whether you are a museum or dance lover, we want you to experience Point Shipyard Project. The Bayview Hunters Point Naval Shipyard has been listed by the Environmental Protection Agency as the largest toxic superfund site in the nation. According to the San Francisco Department of Public Health, 1 in 6 children and 1 in 10 people have asthma in Bayview Hunters Point.
Ticket holders must arrive 15 minutes prior to showtime to guarantee admission. You are more than welcome to attend more than one show, but are required to return to the museum lobby and will call.
NEVER QUITE SOLD OUT!
Last-minute tickets—rush tickets— at the door are typically available just before showtime even when the allotted advance ticket passes have sold out. A Rush line will form in the museum lobby usually ½ hour before showtime. Approximately ten minutes prior to the performance, available rush tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis to those in line. Rush tickets will only be sold to those actually waiting in line. No discounts.
Point Shipyard Project has an installation (staircases, corridors, showrooms) format where patrons will be ushered on a tour through the first 2 levels of the museum. Patrons are given access to the rest of the museum after the performance has ended. Priority seating is only given to pass holders, seniors, disabled or mixed-ability ticket holders.
10% discounts are available to groups of 10 or more. Group discounts must be purchased under one holder's name by March 26, 2014. Call 415 800 7943 for group reservations.
