Spring Preaching Workshop - Creating Saint-Sanctifying, Seeker-Sensitive Sermons
Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EST)
This workshop is designed to help pastors reach the goal of reaching both saints and seekers with the same sermon. The saints need to be sanctified and the seekers need to be justified. How can this be accomplished with the same sermon? From an analysis of 1 Corinthians 14:23-25, Dr. Pelton will demonstrate ways to reach those outside the faith with an insider-directed message from God's Word. Time will be devoted to exploring the concept of being seeker-sensitive. Emphasis will be given to how sermon applications include both evangelistic and edificational appeals. The workshop will combine limited lecture with ample examples of sermon elements that reach both kinds of listeners.
An early look at content from Dr. Pelton's forthcoming book, Preaching With Greater Accuracy by Kregel Publishers.
