Event Details

Time:  Tuesday,  May 15, 12- 2:00pm

Location:  Meet at Seaman Avenue and Isham Street entrance to Inwood Hill Park

Guide:  Paul Sadowski, NY Mycological Society

Description: We will walk the Park in search of fungi. We will be finding Polypores, Crust fungi and Ascomycetes which thrive in the early spring weather. Given the evanescent nature of fungi, it is difficult to know what species will be fruiting at that time.

Please Note: We recommend being properly outfitted - long pants, long sleeve shirt, and wide brimmed hat.  Definitely bring water.  You may also like to have sunscreen, camera, mushroom guidebooks, hand lens or magnifying glass and bug spray.  If inclement weather, contact us here via eventbrite.
