Barrio Couture – Accessory and Jewelry Making

with Agosto Cuellar, Instructor

Ages Teens and Adults

Wednesdays 6 – 8 p.m., February 29-May 23  | Location: Guadalupe Gallery, 723 S Brazos St | Tuition: $80

Local design legend, Agosto Cuellar, brings his fashion sense and style to the Guadalupe.  This class introduces students to the basics of jewelry making, as well as the creation of one-of-a-kind original accessories and small projects.  Students of all skill levels are taken from sketch, to finding the right beads and jewelry pieces, to threading, to finally producing their own amazing jewelry and accessories.  The class culminates in a showing of the students' work at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center.

Agosto Cuellar

Agosto Cuellar is a fashion designer based in San Antonio, Texas featured in ELLE, Texas Monthly, and a near finalist for the Lifetime reality show, Project Runway.  He was given the tag "wildcard Cuellar" by Tim Gunn. He is currently working on his Spring/Summer 2013 Collection: Agosto Cuellar for Agosto Cuellar.
