About the Event
The Institute for Humane Education (IHE) is known throughout the world for its vision and leadership in creating a better world. Founded in 1996, it is an educational, non-profit organization headquartered in Surry, ME that offers graduate degrees, online courses, workshops, and summer institutes, along with a free, award winning resource center. IHE students learn about the interconnected global issues of human rights, animal protection and environmental sustainability and examine ways that they can help create better systems and solutions to pressing challenges. Attendees of the “Crystal Ball/NYC” will celebrate IHE’s 15th anniversary at JivamukTea Café at 841 Broadway in NYC with a talk by IHE’s dynamic president and co-founder Zoe Weil, alumni presentations, activities, music, appetizers and desserts, art-making and a silent auction.
Who Will Be There
The attendees will be people from the New York City area who care deeply and passionately about environmental sustainabiity, animal protection, human rights and education change.

Silent Auction Donation
Businesses are also invited to donate items/services/gift certificates to the Crystal Ball Silent Auction. Items should have a value of at least $100. Contact IHE if you are interested. You will receive public and written recognition.

The Institute for Humane Education (IHE) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to creating a world of solutionaries who have the knowledge, tools, and motivation to build a healthy, humane, restorative world for all. Headquartered in Surry, Maine, IHE has been training humane educators and promoting humane education since 1996. Humane education approaches human rights, environmental preservation and animal protection as interconnected and integral dimensions of a healthy, just society.
Through an affiliation with Valparaiso University’s graduate school, IHE offers five different graduate degrees/programs in Humane Education - the only programs of their kind in the U.S.
