This concert is being held to help raise awareness of MedShare, this is not a charity event. MedShare recovers and reprocesses tons of surplus medical supplies that are discarded daily by hospitals and manufacturers. About 8,500 tons of medical surplus enters the waste stream each year in the South Florida region. These supplies end up in local landfills or incinerators while lives are lost in the developing world because they lack exactly these items. MedShare collects these supplies, reprocesses them and redistributes them to needy medical facilities worldwide. Any proceeds above and beyond the cost of the event will be donated by SPIN back to MedShare.

When & Where
MedShare is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare and the environment through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies and equipment to those most in need. The organization collects surplus medical supplies and equipment from hospitals, distributors and manufacturers, and then redistributes the items to qualified healthcare facilities in the developing world.
MedShare also outfits medical missions and safety net clinics in both the U.S. and abroad. Since its founding in 1998, $93 million worth of supplies have been shipped in over 700 40-foot containers to 88 countries, 2,100 medical teams were outfitted, 2 million cubic feet of space was saved from landfills, and countless lives have been improved around the world.
