Guest Chef Mei Ibach, who was born and raised in a Malaysian fishing village near Singapore, invites you to “think outside the box” with your taste buds.

Experience the exotic spices and flavors of China, East India and Malaysia through her authentic recipes for sauces and dips. While Malaysian food, sometime can be described as spicy and flavorful, this does not necessary mean fiery hot, but rather its authentic zest of spicy, salty, sweet and umami underlying the dense fabric of local spices and herbs. 

Chef Mei will introduce us  to the contemporary cuisine of Malaysia called  Nyonya -"The Food of Love" which emerged from an inter-racial marriage of Chinese immigrant with the local Malay ladies.

In this class, you will cook a variety of healthy vegetarian dishes : 

Gado-Gado Salad with Peanut Sauce

Tofu Nyonya Laksa soup with rice noodles

Nyonya Lentil Curry with Fall Vegetables 

Malaysian Nasi Goreng with Tempeh
