Join us to learn about some of the secret spices and blends that make up classic flavors of Turkey. We’ll get down to the basics by tasting and smelling some classic flavors like sumac, urfa pepper, maras pepper, dried spearmint, and nigella seeds. Then Chef Ana Sortun will kick it up a notch by demonstrating the art of blending with two of her favorite combinations found in travels to the spice markets of Istanbul. She will demonstrate how to make those flavors sing in recipes such as Baked Feta in Paper, Beet Burgers, Crispy Chicken Thighs with Chickpea puree and Sumac, and Lamb Borek.
