Free for foster and group care providers in Ventura County

 

Children and youth in foster care come from a culturally diverse backgrounds and family environments and require culturally competent caregivers to support them. This workshop explores issues in cultural diversity as it relates to youth placed in out of home care. Topics cover a range of themes including integration of cultural diversity awareness into daily caregiving activities and strategies to support an inclusive culture in the foster and group home environment.

 

About the instructor

Josepha Baca, M.B.A., Ph.D. (cand.) is an experienced workforce development professional who has served in a variety of roles in the local community including education and training in leadership, customer service, and cultural diversity.
