WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Please join Special Needs Network on August 31, 2014 as a volunteer for the 9th Annual Back2School Health + Resource Fair at Dodger Stadium (Entrance via Main Gate A off of Sunset Blvd).
This fun-filled day for children with autism, special needs, their sibilings, peer, families, and communities that serve them. We have over 100 resource vendors, health and mental health screenings, activities, games, food and backpacks and school supplies for over 2500 kids who will attend.
In order to pull this event off, we will need the help of several volunteers! We will need volunteers as early as 8am to help with setup, stuffing backpacks, manning arts & crafts tables, serving snacks, etc.
There are three different shifts to choose from and you get a Special Needs Network Volunteer T-shirt + Lunch!
Morning Shift: 8am-12pm
or Close Out Shift: 4pm-8pm
Please lend a hand! Thank you in advance!
This program unites special needs families with families of typically-developing children, vested community partners and local civic leaders for a day of education, information and rejuvenation. SNN provides free backpacks and other school supplies to thousands of children ages 3-18 years of age. Resource booths keep families updated on available services in the community; and therapists trained in encouraging inclusive play facilitate specially designed games for the children. Activities are geared to facilitate social interaction, language development and acquisition of new skills. This event includes a massive health fair with free dental and medical screenings for children and health seminars for adults.
Special Needs Network’s mission is to raise public awareness of developmental disabilities and to impact public policy, while providing education and resources to families, children and adults. SNN serves as a link between underserved communities and mainstream developmental disability organizations and governmental institutions, which often fail to address issues specific to these communities.
In order to purchase these tickets in installments, you'll need an Eventbrite account. Log in or sign up for a free account to continue.
