Networking begins at 11:30am, Luncheon from 12pm-1pm

You may remember Susan Mustafa who visited with us years ago following the release of her book Blood Bath, originally published under the title I've Been Watching You, about the life and crimes of Baton Rouge serial killer Derrick Todd Lee. Here she is again following the release of her latest book, The Most Dangerous Animal of All, co-authored with Gary L. Stewart, whose life the book is based upon. As Gary learned through his search for his biological father, he is the son of the Zodiac Killer!
Susan Mustafa is an award-winning author and journalist. She is the co-author of The Most Dangerous Animal of All: Searching for My Father and Finding the Zodiac Killer, written with Gary L. Stewart. The book chronicles Stewart's search for his biological father and the heartbreaking discoveries he makes along the way. She is also the co-author of Dismembered, written with Sue Israel, which chronicles the story of serial killer Sean Vincent Gillis, a Louisiana killer who confessed to the brutal murders and mutilations of eight women; and Blood Bath, about the life and crimes of serial killer Derrick Todd Lee, linked by DNA to the murders of seven Louisiana women. Blood Bath was written with Special Prosecutor Tony Clayton and Sue Israel. Susan lives in Louisiana with her husband, Scott.
Gary L. Stewart earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from LSU, and is vice president of Delta Tech Service of Louisiana. Ten years ago, Gary began writing a journal, chronicling every detail of his search for his father and his own identity. That journal served as the basis for The Most Dangerous Animal of All. Gary resides in Louisiana with his wife, Kristy, and son Zach.
Please join us on Wednesday, August 20th when both Susan and Gary will be here to discuss their new book with us! Susan will also speak to us about her work at local publications here in town, and how that turned into her huge success as an author. She'll also discuss how social media has changed how her books are promoted, comparing the promotion of her latest book to her last two. It's sure to be highly entertaining!
Networking and check-in begin at 11:30am, with the program starting promptly at 12pm.
Reservations are required, so please register by Tuesday, August 19th so that we may have an accurate headcount prior to the luncheon. If you register but later find yourself unable to attend, we kindly request that you notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance so that we may cancel your registration, or you may be charged for your spot.
