Speakeasy Records Festival Series Presents:
Exclusive House Concert & Reception with Kristin Diable at her Bywater home.
"There is a young woman out of south Louisiana who has got some serious chops, a peroxide, leggy crooner with a soul like Lucinda Williams, the confidence of Grace Slick and the voice of a decades-ago Bonnie Raitt..... It was Kristin Diable. Devil in a white dress. Biggest thing out of Baton Rouge since rush hour." - Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Chris Rose

Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Chris Rose may have put it best when he described Kristin Diable as, "...a young woman out of south Louisiana who has got some serious chops, a peroxide, leggy crooner with the a soul like Lucinda Williams, the confidence of Grace Slick and the voice of a decades-ago Bonnie Raitt...".
This enigmatic songwriter is indeed a legacy artist in training. Her current release "Kristin Diable & The City" was recorded in the heart of New Orleans' ever mystical French Quarter, within the walls of the haunted and historic Pontalba Building on Jackson Square. A Baton Rouge native, she's traversed the country performing in spaces from speakeasy bar rooms to Carnegie Hall. After a stint in New York City, she has returned to New Orleans to hang her hat.
The current album has garnered national attention, as the band has been regularly touring in support of the release including highlight performances at New Orleans Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits Festival, VooDoo Music Experience, French Quarter Festival, and club dates throughout the US and Europe. Songs from the record have been heard by national audiences on television shows such as HBO’s True Blood and Treme. “Kristin Diable & The City” was celebrated as #2 record of the year by The Times Picayune.
