About this Workshop
With an introduction by Julie Lythcott-Haimes, former Dean of Freshman at Stanford and Senior Consultant at Spark Prep, Founder and Director Luke Taylor will spend three inspiring days teaching students how to approach their cllege applications with confidence.
The key to a successful admissions application is writing with authenticity, purpose, and focus. Spark Prep's Admissions Essay Writing Bootcamp is a fun and intensive workshop that will give high school seniors the tools they need to be successful in completing their college applicaitons without the stress and worry many have come to expect.
This workshop will teach applicants how to brainstorm meaningful topics for their essays, strategically organize their material for personal statements and supplements, and analyze successful strategies used by former applicants. We will also learn specific style and structure tools that support clear and convincing writing.
Spark Prep's philosophy is simple: the process of applying to college is an opportunity to clarify your deepest values and purpose. By understanding what you find meaningful, acquiring some fundamental structure and writing skills, students will design an application that will make their candidacy irresistable.
