Join Georgia Tech students from the Planetary Society at Georgia Tech for an afternoon of making and launching model rockets and learning about the future of space exploration of the Moon, Mars, and the Solar System. Also, while you are there, complete the requirements for the "Space Exploration" merit badge for the Boy Scouts of America.
Parking: Parking will be available next door to the student center at the Visitor Lot 2. Parking fees may apply.
Registration fees will be $15 (cash, or checks made out to 'The Planetary Society at Georgia Tech'). Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit or debit cards at this time or accept registration fees online. Registration fees include snacks and rocket material. Parking is not included in the fees.
12:00-12:30: Drop Off and Sign In
12:45-1:15: Workbook Rotation 1
1:15-1:45: Workbook Rotation 2
1:45-2:15: Workbooks Rotation 3
2:15-2:30: Break and Get Snacks
2:30-2:40: Rockets Presentation
2:40-3:00: Rocket Assembly
3:00-5:00: Rocket Launch on Tech Green
5:00-5:30: Pick Up
