 A woman of faith, popular speaker and prolific author, Jan’s works include Intimate Faith... A Woman’s Guide to the Spiritual Disciplines and The Grace of Catastrophe.  Jan touches the depths of one’s heart with how she conveys the biblical reality of the true knowledge of God, His character and the profound effect it can have on our lives as media leaders. A freelance writer for 27 years, Jan authored eight books and wrote countless articles for periodicals as diverse as Vietnam Today, Leadership, The Dallas Morning News, Today's Christian Woman, and Decision. She wrote feature articles for a parenting magazine for two years before changing her focus to writing books infused with a love of classical Christian literature. Jan founded the Dallas Christian Writers Guild and frequently speaks for writers' groups and college and university writing classes. Mentoring and encouraging other writers is one of her passions.  Jan resides in Plano, Texas. She is delightfully married, a mom to two and grandmother of two more.

Award-winning singer, Cheryl Boggs named “Contemporary Soloist of the Year”. She has led praise and worship services in cross-cultural, nondenominational mega churches across the United States for the past 15 years. Cheryl has traveled internationally and preached God's Word in prisons, nursing homes, children's hospitals, and conducted outreach to teens and young adults in centers for troubled youth. As a soloist, Cheryl has sung in front of over 20,000 people, and as a group member she has sung before audiences of more than a half million. She has received many awards as a gospel artist, including both McDonald’s Gospelfest and the Gospel Music Excellence Award named her “Contemporary Soloist of the Year.” Pure Worship is Cheryl’s fourth, and most personal, CD. Its songs of worship and praise reflect her personal relationship with the Lord.

I am Tracey Mitchell, your Dallas/Southwest Regional Connection Director.  Our Dallas Connection includes an amazing group of women whose passion is to connect, build, and encourage other  women in Christian Media. 

While we are a professional group, there is a close bond that exists among ladies. The atmosphere is energetic, encouraging, and inspiring. Our speakers are dynamic, the enrichment sessions enlightening but most importantly we look forward to meeting you!

Formerly known as Women in Christian Media, our new name of Christian Women in Media Association better describes who we are. Christian women in media have influence and opportunity to impact our culture for Christ...for such a time as this.

Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) is a professional association dedicated to Connecting Women in Purpose and Vision. With a national platform focused on advancing Christian women in media, our members work in the fields of TV, Radio, Internet, Film, Publishing, Music, and Arts and Entertainment. Our organizational framework promotes and provides opportunities for industry networking, professional equipping, and spiritual refreshment.
