Southern Tier Gemini Super Hopped Ale (2014)

Imperial IPA - 9%
According to Greek mythology, the twins Castor and Pollux are said to have been hatched from one egg. What a crazy story! We're more apt to believe in alien intervention and UFOs. At Southern Tier, heavily hopped beer have been out calling card since Unearthly made its debut in 2006. Gemini is a super hopped ale with six varieties of hops blasting flavor and zapping bitterness in every direction. This beer is two souls in one package; a bitter hop bomb on one side with sweet malts on the other.

Imperial Weizenboch Goat Boy

Weizenbock - 7.5%
These dark, malty, lightly hopped beers first brewed in the 14th century in the town of Einbeck. Funny thing about this town's name -- when the style was adopted by brewers in Munich, their Municher accents pronounced "Einbeck" as "ein Bock" which is German for "Billy Goat." True story. Banana, caramel, and sweet desert flavors.

Southern Tier 2X One 2014

American Pale Ale - 8.1%
We simplified down to the most basic ingredients - one variety of hop, and one type of malt. For the inagural release in 2014, we decided on Mosaic hops and Special Pale malt. It is amazing how complex the flavor is. In a way it is a lot like looking into a kaleidoscope, where the simplest object suddenly becomes a transfixing multitude of images, repeating and reflecting until a whole is realized, only to see it change yet again.

Southern Tier Farmer's Tan Session IPA

India Pale Ale (IPA) - 4.6%
When the sun hangs high overhead and the stars don't glimmer until well into the evening, there's nothing better than grabbing another beer. We specially crafted Farmer's Tan to be the beer you enjoy on those long summer days. At 4.6% abv, it's one of our lightest, with a smooth body and easy finish. We carefully limited the ingredients to two types of hops and two types of malts for a perfectly balanced, "sessional" India Pale Ale.

Creme Brulee Imperial Milk Stout

Imperial Stout - 9.5%
We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it's all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition. By comprehending the labyrinthine movement of time, one would not think it strange to trace the errant path of an ordinary object such as a cream dessert only to discover that it has been the cause of cultural disputes since the middle ages. The British founders of burnt cream and from Spain, crema catalana, both stand by their creative originality and we respect that, but it was the French Creme Brulee, amid the strife of contention, that survived to represent our deliciously creamy brew.

Southern Tier 2X Stout - Nitro (Double Milk Stout)

Sweet Stout - 7.5%
Milk stout, also called 'sweet' stout, is a stout with lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by beer yeast, it adds sweetness and body to the finished beer. Often claimed to be nutritious, in the early 1900s, one ad read, "Ideal for nursing mothers, for the healthy, for the invalid, and for the worker." Of course, we couldn't stop at a traditional milk stout. Ours is a double, an addition to our 2X line, and at 7.5% abv is every bit as delicious as it sounds.

Unearthly Imperial IPA

Imperial IPA - 11%
At the Southern Tier Brewing Company, vigorously hopped beer is our standard and inspiration. We continue a commitment to innovation with our most aggressive offering yet. Unearthly is a manifestation of the brewer's craft; skillfully balancing art and the forces of nature to produce a divine liquid. Delicately pour a taste into a fluted glass. Smell the enchanting aromas of the hops waft forward as your first sip divulges this beer's fervent soul. To underestimate Unearthly is to trifle with the mysteries of the universe, so please consume wisely.

Hop Sun

American Wheat or Rye Beer - 4.5%
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you?ll realize that this isn?t your average wheatbeer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops commingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun?s bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Southern Tier Live - Bottle Conditioned Pale Ale

American Pale Ale - 5.5%
Yeast swims around the fermenter gobbling up the soluble sugar and converting that energy into alcohol. Imagine the feeding frenzy of millions of tiny yeast cells eating their way around a big fermenter. During this time, the beer is literally alive. Just prior to packaging, we add a little yeast for a secondary fermentation in the bottle. Strong citrus hops balanced with malt breadiness.

2xIPA

American IPA - 8.2%
An India Pale Ale kicked up a notch to form a true Double IPA: feverishly hopped with a malty backbone and higher-than-standard alcohol content. Citrusy hops tease the sense with aromatics and lingering bitterness, while just the right balance of malts disguises 2XIPAs extra gravity. Double your expectations, this is an ale that demands reverence. FOOD PAIRINGS: Pair with a beer brisket, garlic fries, strong, spicy food.

Southern Tier IPA

India Pale Ale (IPA) - 6.5%
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA's namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India drank a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is tripled on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Cheers!

Rich
