as they lead three (3) special meetings in one location for club officers and members of clubs in the South Division and District 30 Chicagoland Toastmasters.

Come out and represent your club by attending either the:

Club Officer Make-up Training (concurrent session: 10a-11a) - This special training is for any club officer (e.g. President, Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Vice President Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant-at-Arms) who did not have an opportunity to be trained for their new club officer role.

If you missed the District 30 Summer TLI on June 14 and have not had a chance to attend club officer makeup training hosted by the North, Northwest, Northeast, Central North, Central South, West, or Southwest divisions, mark your calendar to attend this event sponsored by the South Division.

Bring your Toastmasters International Club Leadership Handbook. In this one-hour training session, you will learn "tricks of the trade" for performing your club officer role from a seasoned trainer who has "been there and done that."

RSVP at http://southdivisionmakeuptraining.eventbrite.com.

Judges Training (concurrent session: 10a-11a) - This one-hour training session is for any club officer that has already been trained and any club member who:

  • Has ever wondered how someone is selected as the winner of a club, area, division, district, or Toastmasters International speech contest;
  • Wants to improve their chances of winning a speech contest; or
  • Needs to feel comfortable serving as a speech contest judge to receive CL credit for helping with a club speech contest.

Led by an experienced trainer of speech contest judges, learn what to look for when seleting a speech contest winner; how to effectively complete your judges ballot; and certain trouble spots to watch out for  when serving as a speech contest judge.

RSVP at http://southdivisionmakeuptraining.eventbrite.com.

Area and Division Council Meeting - Part 2 (11a-12p) - Part 1 was so informative that Part 2 had to be scheduled!

This one-hour session is for all club officers and members who want to receive advice on the challenges you face building a club environment that "provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth."

Facilitated by your Area Governor, join fellow officers and members of clubs in your Area for a "Moments of Truth" conversation centered around creating solutions and "best practices" for common problems and specific challenges faced by clubs in the South Division and District 30 Chicagoland Toastmasters.

Don't miss your chance to voice your opinion, share your ideas, tell your successes, and get solutions.
