What: The Sour + Wild + Funk Fest is Indianapolis' first beer festival to focus exclusively on one of the hottest trends in craft beer: sour ales. We'll have more than 30 styles of sour ales from around the state, country, and world, and all paired with foods designed to accentuate the unique flavors of these specialty beers.
When: Saturday May 12th, 2012. 2-6pm
Who: The Sour + Wild + Funk Fest is hosted by Upland Brewing Co., and our fellow Indiana brewers Brugge, Sun King, and Mad Anthony will be pouring sours alongside us. Our friends at New Belgium, Jolly Pumpkin, Bells, Rivertown, and Saint Somewhere, will be there, plus foreign brews from Brouwerig Van Steenberge, Brouwerij Bavik, Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck, and Brouwerij Liefman's.
Tickets: Tickets are $45 each and includes sampling, food pairings, and a commemorative glass. Tickets will be available for purchases beginning at 12pm on Monday, April 2nd.
Since this is the first ever Sour + Wild + Funk Fest, we want to do something special: We are offeringa a number of tickets that come with a reservation for one bottle each of our upcoming release of Raspberry, Persimmon, and Blackberry Lambics before general reservations begin on April 25th.* Additionally, there are general admission tickets that do not come with sour ale reservations, making a total of 350 tickets available for this event.
*Securing a reservation does not equal a free bottle of beer - just the opportunity to buy the beer. You must pay $20 plys tax per bottle when you pick up your bottles.
Bottles of lambic will be available for pickup May 12th through 26th at our Bloomington Brew Pub and Indy Tasting Room.
