Event is inspired by Margaret's (host) near death experience nine years ago. She was hit by a commuter bus during her freshman year of college and almost died. Thankfully, she did not. However, she did eventually lose her left leg six inches below the knee. It's been hard, yes, but she is alive to tell an amazing tale. She realizes how fortunate she is to have access to medical care and believes that everyone, no matter where they live should have the opportunities she has had. Travels throughout the US and overseas to Africa, Haiti and elsewhere opened her eyes to the need that exists. She wishes to take the support she received after the bus and pay it forward.

Funds raised will benefit the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) and their work in Haiti. POF works all over the world in helping to ensure people adapting to life with limb loss and challenges in less developed countries have access to decent prosthetic and orthotic care. Donations will go toward POF's initiatives in Haiti where 14,000 lost a limb due to the devastating earthquake two years ago. Please learn more at www.pofsea.org.

Hailing from Northern Virginia, Gordon and Ryan will infuse the evening with vocals and percussion, being sure to uplift everyone with heart opening melodies. They originally groomed their musical chops while touring the US in a 7 piece band called, The Ordinary Way. Favorite beats include rock, soul, funk, and reggae with dance inspiring rhythms. The two have reuninited for this amazing cause!

All ages are welcome to join in on the fun!
