Bring your own hand-held recording device (such as a smart phone) and join us as we walk through the Glen to collect audio recordings of nature's symphony. Following the hike we will convene to listen to and discuss our findings. Our findings may be shared with Glen Helen's iNaturalist biodiversity database, supported by Sound Cloud. $5 per person, $4 members. Ages 7+. Glen Helen offers something for everyone, from the college student conducting research with their class, to families drawn in by the 400 year-old oaks and trillium-carpeted slopes, from the kids whose lives are changed by a week at the Outdoor Education Center, to the weekend visitor eager to walk some of our 25 miles of trails.
The Glen Helen Nature Shop and Atrium Gallery are open to visitors, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.
