Flavor Group, Om Records, Scion and Mezzanine present...
Solid Gold Jacuzzi
San Francisco's most over the top theme party returns for its annual Love Week blowout at Mezzanine, with or without the festival! Not to be outdone we are bringing together yet another spectacular combination of out-front talent, including internationally renowned DJ/Vocalist/Producer/Remixer Drop The Lime on his album release tour. The Captain, VP of Trouble & Bass which is releasing Drop The Lime's album in conjunction with Ministry of Sound, joins in support. As if that weren't enough ammunition to make this an event that you can't to miss, we are also joined by Fool's Gold's Nacho Lovers who rocked our summer Mezzanine soiree to the fullest this July.
Drop The Lime (Trouble & Bass - New York) - Album Release Tour
Drop the Lime, (born Luca Venezia in New York City) is an electronic producer and DJ who also runs dance label Trouble and Bass. Drop the Lime's new material and DJ sets also feature live vocals on original compositions. He occasionally performs under the pseudonym Curses! on Institubes, a French electro label. Drop The Lime's recent successes include a tremendous global DJ schedule, a forthcoming Fabric Live mixed compilation, a barrage of hit singles remixed by the likes of Diplo, remix work on a massive variety of red-hot labels and an unstoppable stage presence that propels Luca ever forward.
Nacho Lovers (Fool's Gold - Toronto)
Nacho Lovers is a feeling. It's music made for 4am speaker stacks and mid-day bedroom headphones alike, where atmosphere is everything. The end result isn't to freak out or pump fists, but simply create a lasting connection and a sense of timelessness. It's the low-ceiling, red-light vibe they cultivate in their own tracks, their remixes for a highly selective, diverse handful of artists (ranging from Chromeo to Alexander Robotnick to Pase Rock), and DJ sets that make you feel like you could be at any great club or party of the past 30 years.
The Captain (Trouble & Bass - New York)
The Captain came to New York City in the hot summer of 2004 from the dirtiest of the south, Savannah, GA, where he first started DJing / coordinating events. He has traveled all over the world, across the US and Canada and into Europe showcasing the heavy sounds of T&B. The Captain has been featured in The Fader, Village Voice, Time Out New York, Useless Magazine, BPM, Missbehave Magazine, Big Shot Magazine, Metro Pop and XLR8R.
