Event Details

SunShot Grand ChallengeDid you know that more than half of all solar cell efficiency records have been directly funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)? Only three years into the Department's decade-long SunShot Initiative, the solar industry is already more than 60% of the way to achieving SunShot’s aggressive cost targets – $0.06 per kilowatt hour (kWh) for utility-scale PV solar electricity by 2020.

Today, solar-generated electricity is now cost-competitive with traditional energy sources in several states, and costs continue to fall. So, what’s next?

On May 7th, join Minh Le, director of the SunShot Initiative, for a live #SolarChat to discuss the Energy Department’s robust solar success record and how SunShot is setting a new standard in public-private scientific research & development partnerships to advance our nation’s clean energy future.

Le will join other solar community leaders to discuss SunShot’s vision for America’s solar future in advance of the 2014 SunShot Grand Challenge Summit in Anaheim, California from May 18-22.
