Save the date for the next #SolarChat, March 27th, when we will be discussing the U.S. Solar Market Insight 2012 report from the Solar Energy Industries Association and GTM Research.

#SolarChat founder Raina Russo (@EcoOutfitters) will be joined by SEIA research analysts Shawn Rumery (@RunShawnRum) and Will Lent (@WillLent1), as well as Shayle Kann, vice president of research for Greentech Media and his colleague Andrew Krulewitz, solar analyst and editor of PV News, on the @GTMResearch account.

Shawn Rumery has worked as a Research Associate at SEIA since May 2011. He is responsible for general data gathering and analysis at SEIA, including analytical work for the quarterly Solar Market Insight reports jointly produced by SEIA and GTM. He also manages SEIA’s National Solar Database, which tracks the 5,600 companies that comprise the US Solar Industry.

Will Lent has worked as a Research Analyst at SEIA since August 2011. He provides policy and research analysis that supports SEIA’s advocacy efforts. Since joining SEIA, Will has had an active role in the production of SEIA and GTM’s quarterly Solar Market Insight report.

As vice president of research for Greentech Media, Shayle Kann has spoken at conferences around the world and been cited in publications such as The Economist, New York Times, Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, Forbes, Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times, and more. He has also testified in front of the U.S. House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee on the state and future of the U.S. solar market. He joined GTM Research upon returning from Australia, where he was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar researching renewable energy project finance during the credit crisis. Prior to this, Shayle worked in the Clean Energy Markets division of Conservation Services Group, focusing on voluntary and compliance markets for renewable energy certificates.

As a Solar Analyst at GTM Research, Andrew Krulewitz covers demand in North and South America. In addition to leading primary data collection and analysis for the SEIA/GTM Research U.S. Solar Market Insight reports, Andrew also tracks competitive positioning of technology providers, installers, and financiers in the U.S. and Latin America and serves as editor of PVNews, the solar industry's longest running market research periodical. Andrew joined GTM Research as a Research Associate and is a graduate of Colgate University.
