San Francisco's Disposable Film Fest returns to Solar One for the second year in a row to screen their 2013 program of short films made with amateur devices like smartphones and digital video recorders, and submitted online to be voted on by the DFF audience. Last year's films were funny, smart, moving and beautiful- sometimes all at once. A special event not to be missed!
The 90-minute DFF screening will be followed by a special 45-anniversary screeni ng of the 1968 Bob Rafelson film HEAD, co-written with Jack Nicholson and starring the Monkees, American TV's answer to the Beatles. Considered a big flop on release, it has grown to be appreciated as a psychedelic classic.
Solar-powered popcorn will also be available, along with beer and other drinks.
