Brought to you by ELPC with sponsorship from SunRun Inc. Solar Hack! will bring together members of Chicago’s tech, design and clean energy communities for a two-part collaborative session to brainstorm, conceptualize and begin execution of tools to grow solar energy. The event will result in concepts of tools to advance solar; educate, recruit and aggregate solar customers and advocates; and will introduce the tech and design communities to efforts to advance solar policy.
Sign up is free. Prizes include lunch with a prominent investor, opportunities to pitch your concept to solar companies, spots in the invitation-only City of Chicago Clean Web Open and more. Delicious food and new friends on the scene.
Drawing on the expertise of ELPC and partners including NREL, The Idea Shop and others, we will brief participants on topics related to solar. Links to datasets and challenges will be sent to registrants. Judges panel will include Chris Gansen of Public Good Software and Jon Weers, senior software engineer with the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado.
On Friday, participants will pitch ideas and finalize teams. Saturday you'll have 10 hours to advance a concept. The event will be held on 11/8 and 11/9. Learn more!
