Soil Born Farms - Urban Ag
Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (PDT)
Rancho Cordova, CA
The Mission of Soil Born Farms is to create an urban agriculture and education project that empowers youth and adults to discover and participate in a local food system that encourages healthy living, nurtures the environment and grows a sustainable community. This growing non-profit has multiple goals: to provide local organic food production, community education, food access for all, internship for aspiring farmers, and bring people together to reconnect with the land. Join us at the American River Ranch, a 55–acre historic Ranch located within the American River Parkway to better understand the objectives and learn about the sustainable development program for this, the permanent home of Soil Born Farms.
