You may have noticed while walking down the hall towards LA Makerspace a space with a bunch of sock puppets inside! As part of building a true art and tech community on the 11th floor of LA Mart, we have invited award winning Sock Puppet Sitcom Theater to teach us how to make fantastic sock puppets and then learn how to be pro socketeers.
But wait! There's more! This project is from a bunch of Hollywood dudes (including the guy who does the voices for Indiana Jones and Han Solo on Robot Chicken), Sock Puppet Sitcom Theater recreates episodes of classic TV shows including Golden Girls, I Love Lucy, Friends, Roseanne and Hogan's Heroes.
We'll spend the first hour making our sock puppets and the second hour learning how to bring them alive and develop their character.
