"Putting the Pedal to the Metal" - Three Case Studies on Infusing Social Media to Build a Customer Base
SMBTV #9 will feature a panel presentation on how three national brand names in the technology, consumer goods and food industry space (all located in the Capital Region) successfully used social media communities to launch their businesses and create an installed user base.
These executives below will discuss their creative techniques to developing content, grow followers, access users on LinkedIn and build a base to sell into-- even before their organizations launched. These strategies helped achieve investment in their businesses and ensured that today have a profitable, repeat customer base. A Q&A will panelists will directly follow. Jesse is responsible for the creation and execution of Apprenda’s strategic marketing initiatives, generating demand and awareness, and evolving the company’s brand. A primary tactic used by Apprenda has been SaaSBlogs.com and LinkedIn groups. Jesse draws from a strong background in Software as a Service, having served as Community Evangelist and Product Manager at SaaS ISV Autotask before joining Apprenda. Prior to Autotask, Jesse served as Director of Marketing at Eden Communications (acquired by Unicom Systems). Jesse holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, with a focus in Neuroscience, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Social Media Breakfast was founded by Bryan Person in August 2007 as an event where social media experts and newbies alike come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. Marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new-media fanatics, and online social networkers are all welcome to attend.
The breakfast series began in Boston and has now spread to more than 35 cities throughout the United States and around the world. It was brought to Tech Valley by Amy Mengel in June 2009.
