After many requests to do so, we are taking SMBTV back to basics for the next seminar. Our panel of Social Media professionals will be walking us through social media management from a variety of perspectives. Far too often, social media is an afterthought in a marketing campaign, or an add on to a job description, or delegated to the realm of interns. Three professional marketers will be taking the audience through how to establish a social media strategy & expectations in a new role, how to manage social media with restrictions on resources, budget, and content, and how to manage social media for your own brand while running it. Sarah Avery Gordon, a native Albany County grass-fed beef farmer, has specialized in agricultural and natural resource management issues for the past eleven years, working on a diverse range of outreach efforts, public affairs initiatives, and digital communications campaigns. She is a graduate of Marist College with a B.S. in Political Science and Environmental Science, and the University of Vermont with an M.S. in Natural Resources, specializing in Environment, Society and Public Affairs. In 2010, she founded FarmieMarket, an agricultural producers association for which she still serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Manager.

Andrea is a freelance Marketing Consultant. She has a rich background in media and traditional advertising, having recently finished working in the Marketing Department for the NY Army National Guard and initiating the most successful social media marketing initiative in the nation, Andrea is now focusing on freelancing.
She is a wife of a National Guard soldier and mother of two fantastic girls. Family is important to her and she strives to maintain a healthy balance between work and home. She leads the Family Readiness Group for her husband's company and has previously blogged about military life on the Times Union website.
Danika is a knowledge junkie with a penchant for learning new ways to approach internet marketing. She focuses on reaching local and hyperlocal audiences using a variety of digital marketing solutions, including search engine optimization, social media, and PR.Danika founded Garnish Marketing in 2012, GM provides internet marketing services to restaurants, caterers, and eateries. Services include local search engine optimization, social media management, and customized marketing strategies.
