Join Seattle’s dynamic social innovation, angel investor and philanthropic community in crowning our city’s newest top social innovators and entrepreneurs in the second annual Social Innovation Fast Pitch 2012, a production of Social Venture Partners.
This is the live on-stage showdown at Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion where the competition’s top finalists will be pitching a panel of eminent judges and impact investors to win a portion of $230,000 of grants and investments. Pitches are fascinating, well-delivered, and quick - you'll wonder where the time went!
The evening will be capped by a keynote from Nathan Myhrvold, Founder & CEO of Intellectual Ventures and author of Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking as well as a guest appearance by Roger Ressmeyer, filmmaker and world-renowned photographer. View program schedule.
The SIFP Compete and Connect event is open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 18th, with registration and discussion with contestants starting at 4:45 pm. The program runs from 5:30 to 8:30pm, followed by appetizers, wine and more conversation with 28 social innovators, distinguished judges and hundreds of other like-minded residents of the Puget Sound region.
Winners will be selected in the categories of best established non-profit, best young nonprofit, and best for-profit pitches. There is a separate youth competition for high school and college students. See 2012 finalists here.
Social Venture Partners Seattle is a non-profit organization; 100% of non-discounted "regular" ticket proceeds are donated to participants and will be largely tax-deductible. For tax information, please click here.
