In 1996 Jeffrey Nickelson started a youth group in Colorado for several reasons, and the first was finding a way to spend time with his daughter ShaShauna while sharing in something they both loved. However, one of the most important reasons was to give the youth in our community a creative outlet during the summer months; in a way that taught them professionalism and fashioning more artists for the future. When Jeffrey Nickelson passed away in 2009 this very essential program went away as well. For the past few years concerns in our community regarding youth have become increasingly worse, so ShaShauna saw that there was a need to bring this program back to the community. With the support of Craig Bond and Vintage Theatre Productions the youth program was able to re-emerge. This summer the EmUrgency youth group has created an exceptional piece of work in order to be seen and heard as the future of our nation, please join us as they stand on their #SOAPBOX!
