SCIENCE meets SCIENCE FICTION

Imagination, Inspiration and Invention

Bringing world-renowned experts in the fields of science, technology, and engineering together for 3 days in Washington, DC.

Science meets science fiction at the 2014 THE FUTURE IS HERE Festival.  THE FUTURE IS HERE is a three-day event produced in tandem with Smithsonian magazine's May issue of the same name.  The 2nd annual event combines cutting-edge science with the power of imagination.  Exhilarating, visionary, and fascinating, the 2014 event will provide an eye-opening look into the near and far future.

 

Gold level participants events begin Friday, May 16 at 8pm through Sunday, May 18 at 5pm.

  • Friday, May 16 VIP cocktail reception at the National Air & Space Museum on the Mall at 8pm.
  • Priority seating on Saturday, May 17 for full day speaker's conference in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center from 9am - 5pm.
  • Priority seating on Saturday Night for the national premiere of X-Men Days of Future Past at The Warner Bros. Theater in the National Museum of American History at 7:00pm.  Q&A with the film's star, Patrick Stewart to follow.
  • Priority seating on Sunday, May 18 for full day Nerd Nite global speaker's conference in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center from 10am - 5pm.

 

Premium level participants events begin Saturday, May 17 at 9am through Sunday, May 18 at 5pm.

  • General Admission on Saturday, May 17 for full day speaker's conference in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center from 9am - 5pm.
  • General Admission on Saturday Night for the national premiere of X-Men Days of Future Past at The Warner Bros. Theater in the National Museum of American History at 7:00pm.  Q&A with the film's star, Patrick Stewart to follow.
  • General Admission on Sunday, May 18 for full day Nerd Nite global speaker's conference in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center from 10am - 5pm.
