FAQ's

Do I have to stay with my child during the class?

Yes, this is a family workshop and parents are expected to attend and PARTICIPATE. Its a great way to connect!

My child isn't the right age, can they still attend?

We work hard to create age-appropriate programs and hope that you can find a class that suits your child's age and schedule. If you still feel strongly about attending, we will of course, welcome you. But, please understand that we are unable to alter the class format and content to suit the needs of individual children and thus, your child might not have the best experience.

Can I bring a sibling?

We would prefer that you don't as it can be distracting and take away from the connection you can make with the child attending the class. However if its a choice between the sibling or not attending the class, we would much prefer you come to the class!

What will we do during the class?

We will meet at the Natural History Museum introduce the theme in a SEEC classroom. After our introduction, we will walk to a museum on the Mall and return to the classroom for a final activity.

Will we be walking?

Yes and in ALL weather. Come prepared! It’s a great way for the kids to get some exercise and fresh air too!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Metro - Federal Triangle, Smithsonian

There is limited availability of street parking along the National Mall and Constitution Ave.

Several parking garages in the area.

No matter what you choose, give yourself an extra 20 minutes to park and walk to Natural History.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

You can make up ONE class within 6 months of your initial registration provided there is availability.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, please!

What is the refund policy?

Tickets will be refunded minus a $50 non-refundable deposit up to 2 weeks before the first class
