Audience Capacity: 35 people (.. and up to 15 dogs!)

Artist and Project Information:

Scott Cazan (LA)
Dogcore
Information: Using a small camera and a sophisticated location tracking system, Scott Cazan will be turning the activities of dogs at play into a live noise-filled experimental music event.
More information: Please bring your dog to help us make an experimental score!

Michael McConnell, Paul Mullins & Jennie Ottinger (SF)
DOG DAY AFTERNOON
Information: Michael, Paul and Jennie collaborate with 15 attendees to make dog portraits. The first 15 comers, for certain, will be able to select from a terrific battery of pre-prepared drawings of figures from cinematic sources that have "dog" in their respective titles (but do not literally spin yarns about dogs). These figures will be minus the heads, a blank space we will merrily supplant with portraits of our visitors dogs on the afternoon of the 16th.

Folks should register and bring their canines, so they can contribute to the ruckus, and either before or after, be commemorated as the face of their chosen film inspiration.  Handsome and impossible-to-not-be-humorous original drawings are keepsakes of the occasion.

NOTE:It would be most handy, helpful, actually, if registrants come with photos of their prized pooches (not all pose patiently for their portrait), or smartphones containing pictures!

If you’d like to attend, you must sign up ahead of time and register online at eventbrite.com/org/994232247. Registration for each project opens 7 days prior to the actual event. One new project opens at daily at noon beginning June 4, 2012. Times and audience capacity varies for each project. Pre-registration is REQUIRED and all events are FREE.

Southern Machine Exposure Project is a project developed by Southern Exposure (San Francisco) and Machine Project (Los Angeles), involving 20 combinations of artists and performers from LA and SF, presented off-site in 20 homes in the Bay Area over 20 consecutive days from June 11 - 30.
