SMCKC Happy Hour with the Nelson Atkins' Young Friends of the Art!
- Community & Culture
- The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City MO
Join us for happy hour-priced tapas and drinks at La Bodega, networking with your fellow SMCKC-ers, and helping Comfort Keepers raise 10,000 meals through Harvesters for its Stop Senior Hunger program.
"Even in areas like ours, where you might not think there would be hunger problems among seniors, the number is growing," says Connie Brockert of Comfort Keepers. "It's true that some seniors have to choose between medicine or food and end up subsisting on junk food."
"Last year, Comfort Keepers Home Care of Greater Kansas City joined Comfort Keepers nationally in the Stop Senior Hunger initiative and raised 10,000 meals through Harvesters for hungry seniors in our area. We hope to even raise more this year."
SMCKC is proud to partner with Comfort Keepers and Harvesters on this great initiative. All admission proceeds will be donated to Comfort Keepers/Harvesters, and you may also bring extra canned or boxed non-perishable food to donate.
Special Raffle: Ticket purchase to this event enters you into a raffle to win free admission to any upcoming SMCKC Professional Lunch (pro membership not required to win).
Additionally, our host La Bodega is graciously extending happy hour pricing until 7:30, so come on down and eat large amounts of small plates!
