Social media for business is more than just Facebook, Twitter, and the other major platforms brands are using to connect with customers. Social media can also enable business from an internal perspective.
Yammer is an enterprise software solution that acts like a social network for employees, empowering people inside the company to collaborate, share files, exchange knowledge, and boost efficiency. A leader in internal social that is used by more than 200,000 brands, Yammer was acquired by Microsoft for $1.2 billion in June 2012.
On Tuesday, July 16, the Social Media Club of Kansas City welcomes Yammer's Steve Nguyen and Ursula Llabres to discuss how enterprise social networking can make companies more efficient, successful, and social.
They will also address the challenges and pitfalls that come with implementing and maintaining enterprise social networking. Steve and Ursula have been through the trenches embarking upon this space – Steve as former customer and Ursula as a skilled consultant. Come hear about their experiences and how they are now working with Microsoft customers to transform the way people work.

Prior to coming to Yammer/Microsoft, Steve was a Technology Research Analyst at Cargill.
About Ursula (@ullabres): Ursula has worked in the tech industry for more than 15 years. She embraces disruptive innovation and is passionate about helping customers reach their highest potential. Prior to joining Yammer/Microsoft, Ursula led a Customer Success team at Salesforce.com.
