SMCD EDU - If A Blog Goes Up on the Internet, Does Anyone Read It?
Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
About this Session:
Blogging Best Practices and Tips. Learn blogging best practices and tips, the difference between blogging platforms and which one makes the most sense for your business. The session will close out with how to effectively share your blog.
This is the 3rd session in our ongoing series of free social media classes, held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Detroit Chamber building.
Who is TJ List?
TJ bought his first computer, a Texas Instruments TI 99/4A, in 8th grade. If the glow of the second-hand TV screen didn’t make it hard enough for his grandparents to sleep, the howling of the dot matrix printer did as he printed painstakingly-coded papers for high school chemistry class. In college he studied to become a mechanical engineer, but he stayed involved with computers. Throughout his engineering career he invented opportunities to write simple programs to crunch data as “part of the job.”
After finally realizing that the definition of “success” is arbirtary, TJ now embraces his inner geek. He brings a true passion for integrity, service, and clarity to every project he undertakes.
TJ still works as an engineer during the day, but his heart is on the web. He managed the Metro Detroit WordPress Meetup for 2 years, and he helped organize two of the three Detroit WordCamps. He still dreams of teaching small business owners to manage their own websites. Lately, his evenings are spent turning designers’ beautiful images into viable WordPess Themes.
Thank you very much to our Social Media Club Detroit Education sponsor, B4B Connect! Thanks to them, we will be holding our monthly classes here through at least September.
