SMCATL: SOLOMO – Social/Mobile/Location
Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
When social media first debuted, companies were keen on maintaining a solidified presence they could grow - i.e. one Facebook page per company, organization, or brand.
With the convergence of Social, Local, and Mobile (SoLoMo), some companies feel it’s now the exact opposite: each store/location needs to have it’s own online presence to authentically connect with people where they are, WHEN they are there, and when they are online looking for your service.
From Foursquare to Facebook, companies both big and small are learning that claiming, building and integrating an online presence for each of their locations is THE way to both build customer bases and get the word out.
Join us on June 13 at JWT Atlanta for a discussion with YP Director of Social Media and Event Marketing Ed Peterson, Vert Co-founder and Principal of Account Strategy Kevin Planovsky and JWT Social Media Supervisor for a discussion on how they’re using SoLoMo to grow small businesses, International business like Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), Taco Mac and other customers, and Marine Corps recruits.

Wait, what? Social Media Club Atlanta is now charging for events?
As many of you know, when you have free events a lot of people register "just in case," without really planning to come. And since our events usually sell out, this means some folks get shut out of coming who really do want to attend.
To help with this, and to help us have accurate numbers for food and beverage, starting with our June event, we'll be charging a nominal fee -- just $5 in advance, $10 at the door (if there are tickets left)
-- and of course, in most cases this will cover at least one drink ticket and/or munchies.
We're dedicated to keeping Social Media Club Atlanta the low cost, grassroots group we all know and love, and I'm sure you all agree that $5 is still a great bargain!
By the way, you can become a Pro Member of Social Media Club for just $100, and admission to our educational events is *free* -- join today at socialmediaclub.org.
