The holiday season is fast approaching and, as a special treat, SMBOttawa is delighted to announce that we're flying social media renaissance man C.C. Chapman up from Boston especially for our December event!
C.C. Chapman is a leading expert in the online marketing and social media space. His work has broken new ground and won numerous awards for clients such as HBO, American Eagle Outfitters and The Coca-Cola Company. He is the founder of Digital Dads and the host of the popular podcast, Managing the Gray. He is a graduate of Bentley University and lives outside of Boston with his family.
What's C.C. going to talk about?
Every day, a new tool or technology comes out that you and your business need to evaluate and determine if it is right for you. But, beyond just this, you need to be providing your customers and potential customers something more. You need a healthy stream of content to populate all of your online channels. Without a planned-out and executed-upon content strategy, you'll be in trouble.
With Ann Handley of MarketingProfs, C.C. has written a book to help you think about content in the way it needs to be. Content Rules lays out the "rules" that you must consider and follow in order to be successful. C.C. will share some insights from the book and answer questions that you may have about how to take your content to the next level so that it rules!

When & Where
SMBOttawa has been organized and hosted by Simon Chen, Rob Lane and Ryan Anderson since 2008. SMBOttawa's breakfast networking events are inspired and have evolved from the Social Media Breakfast concept started by Bryan Person in Boston:
". . . as an almost-monthly event where social media experts and newbies alike come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. Marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new media fanatics, and online social networkers are all welcome to attend."
