Oxford Communications and Visit Bucks County are pleased to announce the third Social Media Breakfast Greater Philly (#SMBPhilly). This time, we’ll be discussing how businesses in all industries, but especially in the tourism, hospitality and retail industries, can successfully use Pinterest. We’re pleased and excited to be hosting this event and we’re looking forward to seeing lots of new faces!

Welcome: Paul Bencivengo, Marketing and Communications Director at Visit Bucks County, will give a brief introduction on the tourism office's social media campaigns and recent achievements.
Speaker/Moderator: Christopher Stemborowski, Oxford Communications - will speak with attendees about the latest craze in social networking, Pinterest. Details will be provided on how to create a compelling Pinterest profile as well as addressing why Pinterest has become so relevant overnight. A panel of Pinterest experts who are using the platform daily to transform how their organizations reach consumers will be moderated during the event as well.
Christopher works at Oxford Communications in Lambertville, N.J. leading its cutting-edge social media offering for regional, national and global clients. Blending design capabilities and an extensive background in communication theory, Christopher delivers strategy, execution and results for clients such as Voxx International, Bombardier, Brother International, Villa Enterprise Management, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital System, Drexel University and Quick Chek. Through his experiences, Christopher has become a go-to resource for marketing and advertising in the digital, interactive and social media spaces.
Panelist: Apu Gupta, CEO & Co-Founder of Curalate - Curalate is the most comprehensive marketing platform for socially curated sites, starting with Pinterest and provides hundreds of recognized brands deep insights into their brand engagement on visual sites such as Pinterest. These insights are enabling brands to find and engage with brand advocates, determine what products matter most to fans, and form more meaningful relationships with consumers.
Prior to Curalate, Apu worked in retail and technology. Apu built the second largest drugstore chain in India as the COO & CMO of MedPlus Health Services, served on the interim management team of Peracon, a provider of software for the commercial real estate industry, and was in sales and marketing roles at WebEx Communications from their Series A financing through their IPO. Apu has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Panelist: Jessica Lawlor, Visit Bucks County - is the marketing and communications coordinator at Visit Bucks County, the official tourism promotion agency for Bucks County, Pa. Jessica is responsible for content creation, social media, e-communications, event planning, public relations efforts and assisting with advertising and marketing initiatives. In her free time, she serves as the chair of the college relations committee for the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA) and co-chair of the new professionals committee for the Philadelphia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She also serves on the board of directors for the Temple University Young Alumni Association. Jessica graduated from Temple University in 2010 with a degree in strategic and organizational communication.
Panelist: Natalie Sutton, Adventure Aquarium – serves as the Communications Coordinator for Adventure Aquarium, overseeing the Aquarium’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube among others) and interactive marketing and communication efforts, email marketing website content management, and other digital efforts meant to enhance the visitor experience.
She has a nine-year history in corporate communications, having previously worked as Marketing Manager at NewYork.com, a tourism website for New York City; and as Communications Director at MRA Group, a medical real estate company, where she managed public relations and marketing for the firm. Natalie graduated from Kutztown University in 2002 with a degree in Communications and currently resides in Havertown with her husband.
Panelist: Caroline Bean, GPTMC - is the director of social media at the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). She joined GPTMC in 2003 and quickly rose from public relations coordinator to her current position, focusing on travel and lifestyle media relations and social media initiatives.
Bean’s media relations’ efforts have resulted in local and national stories in USA Today, The Washington Post, GQ Magazine online and PR Week. At the helm of GPTMC’s social media efforts, she has helped the organization grow its web properties, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Foodspotting, and works to integrate a well-rounded social media strategy into every campaign.
Caroline is also part of a communications team that has won 45 industry awards from Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, PR News and the Public Relations Society of America, including a PR News NonProfit PR Award for the “With Love, Philadelphia XOXO®” social media campaign. Development Counselors International named the @VisitPhilly Twitter account a “Tweet Elite.”
