The Why and How of Local Investing.

An overview by Marco Vangelisti
The recent market volatility has made many weary of global financial markets. Business-as-usual investing has hidden costs and and it is currently more risky than commonly assumed! Time to start moving away from Wall Street and towards local investing. Marco draws on his own rich experience as fund manager and local investor to provide the essential knowledge and tools to become smart local investors.
Marco Vangelisti worked in the finance industry for 25 years and for the last 6 in the investment management industry. Marco is a founding member of Slow Money and since 2009 has been in the leadership team of the Slow Money Northern California network. He is a 100% impact investor with 6 years of experience doing direct local investments. He developed Essential Knowledge for Transition, and speaks nationally as guest lecturer and author.
