Sunday September 30th: Zen Tea
Have you noticed the way you uplug is rarely actually unplugged? It's just like needing a vacation after your vacation; it's infuriating. Turns out, to feel rested, restored and (dare I say) rejuvenated in the present moment requires a commitment to: "making time for yourself." Unfortunately this phrase always bums me out and induces an over the top eye roll. Albeit true, I bring you my Sweet Lime solution: Zen Tea.
The simple act of an age-old ritual; sitting down to tea, is practiced all over the globe and practiced for good reason. The fact is, you're making the time not to do anything other than sit, sip tea, and be in the moment. Nothing else. Not always as simple as it sounds. In this class the recipes are more of a reason (or excuse) to sit down and just be, rather than a skill to practice. In case you're worried we'll be sitting around staring at eachother, don't forget, this is a Sweet Lime class, there is never a lack of words.
Juniper Tea Fizz - Green tea base, frothy, an easily made mocktail or cocktail with the addition of gin.
Pear Balm - Orange & lemon twists, elderflower spritz, green tea base with muddled fresh pear.
Maple Toasted Nuts - A very simple blend of walnuts, pistachios, sesame seeds and coconut tossed in a thin glaze of maple syrup.
Goat Cheese & Cucumber Tea Crackers - Thin crackers spread with goat cheese, thin slices of cucumber, topped with onion, dill and flaky salt.
Salmon & Avocado Tea Crackers - Salmon salad topped with avocado, watercress, and a fresh squeeze of lemon.
Roasted Honey & Cinnamon Figs - A sweet juicy bite topped with a crunchy pecan, finished with a yogurt dollop.
There will also be three other tea blends to enjoy througout the evening.
