Join us on our exciting Slow Food Chinatown Tour. Explore the history, culture, and food traditions of Honolulu's Chinatown. Explore its markets to learn about seafood, fresh produce, and traditional foods. Visit bakeries, noodle factories, specialty shops, temples and historic sites. Sample local foods such as manapua, crack seed, lumpia, and seasonal tropical fruits. We are now including lunch as part of the tour. Bring your shoppnig bags with you so you can buy fresh produce, noodles, and specialty products following the tour and lunch.

Slow Food O'ahu
As a chapter of Slow Food USA, we support national and international efforts on behalf of sustainable agriculture and rediscovery of the pleasures of the table.
Slow Food USA seeks to create dramatic and lasting change in the food system. We reconnect Americans with the people, traditions, plants, animals, fertile soils and waters that produce our food. We inspire a transformation in food policy, production practices and market forces so that they ensure equity, sustainability and pleasure in the food we eat.
Slow Food Oahu events are open to anyone interested. Registration priority is given to Slow Food members and, on occasion, a few events may be limited to members only. Check event listings for more information.
To join us, join the national group at www.slowfoodusa.org. A donation of $30 or more makes you a member, and a donation of $60 gives you access to special member-only offers.
When you sign up, you will be asked which Chapter you want to join – select Oahu and you’re on board for a variety of wonderful events including farm tours, cooking classes, special dinners and more. Join us and support our mission for Ono & Pono food.
