"Slamming Stories" NYC Storytelling Slam @ The Gallery at LPR - $50 1st Place Prize!
Friday, June 29, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
The Inspired Word performance series presents our Slamming Stories storytelling slam, staged at the sexy Greenwich Village hotspot, The Gallery at LPR (Le Poisson Rouge).
Co-hosted by Aimee Herman and Nathan P.
So if you think you're a great storyteller, well, here's your chance to prove it. And if you're the best of the night, you win a sweet $50 + a free drink!
Do we hear the words, "Oh, snap, that sounds like fun!"?
And here's the way the night works:
There will be one round, 20 slots. The slots will be determined on a first come-first-serve sign-up @ the door.
Guidelines: Your story must be original. It must be true. And it must be five minutes or less.
A full point will be subtracted from the cumulative score if the storyteller goes over the five-minute time limit by more than 10 seconds.
Each storyteller will be judged by five judges. The storyteller's high and low score will be dropped and the middle three will be added together for the finishing score.
The highest score at the end of the night gets 50 bucks and a free drink.
In case of a tie, the prize money is split, but each or all get a free drink.
