Celebrate Winter and ice at one of the most picturesque lakes in Vermont. Lake Morey Resort is hosting two speedskating marathons, 25 km and 40 km, as part of the MSI Series from Marthon Skating International. There will be 2 km and 5 km races for skaters of all abilities, using all kinds of skates. Other activities include a free speedskating workshop, food and live entertainment, a torch-light parade, and free access to the longest (4.5 miles) skating trail in the US.
Hockey skates and Nordic skates are suitable for the speedskating workshop and the shorter distance races. A limited number of free speedskate rentals will be available for workshop registrants. Expert skaters and equipment specialists will be onsite to answer your questions and provide advice and instruction.
