Event Details

A full weekend of local art, music and good food will spread across the hills of Colrain, Mass. November 14-15 during the 6th Annual Crafts of Colrain Studio Tour. Twenty-one artists and farms will display and sell their work, made in this beautiful, rural corner of Franklin County. Tour hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Experience an array of original, creative, sometimes unusual designs which unfold their rich colors and fine craftsmanship as you tour the picturesque Colrain countryside. Garments and skeins of vibrant hand-dyed wool; uniquely imaged work in quilting, leather, wood and paper; artistic home decor that makes the practical beautiful; locally grown and prepared food to bring home to your table; all these will make your trip memorable.

Anyone on the tour may enter a drawing at each of the studios to win one of two gift baskets containing original works donated by participants. The baskets will be displayed in local banks and businesses prior to the weekend, and can all be viewed at various stops along the tour.

Begin your tour at Hager's Farm Market on Route 2, (
Hager's Farm Market, 1232 Mohawk Trail, Route 2, Shelburne 413-625-6323) just steps away from the turn onto Colrain-Shelburne Road. Pick up your map/guide there to begin your journey, or start at any of the studios/farms. Children and adults alike will enjoy meeting the lovely Angora goats at Keldaby Farm and the calf at the Hager Farm.

Lunch and snacks will be available at the Hager Farm and Mike & Tony's Pizzeria at Green Emporium throughout the two days. The Hagers' offerings include their popular Fried Dough with Maple Cream; Mike & Tony will highlight their Apple Cheddar Pizza and Michael's Famous Award-Winning Chili.  Co-sponsoring restaurants at Pine Hill Orchards and the Mohawk Diner will provide their full daily lunch menus. The Colrain Elementary School will also offer food, on Saturday only.
There will be music Friday evening, storytelling & music Saturday evening with dinner options at The Roundhouse, and dinner at Mike & Tony's Pizzeria both evenings to fill out your weekend. The Tour website includes links to the studios, the tour brochure/map and a list of bed & breakfasts in the area at www.craftsofcolrain.com.
