The Sixth Annual Breastfeeding Walk is a partnership among the Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center WIC Program, Brooklyn Breastfeeding Empowerment Zone, Healthy Families New York and Council Member Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. The aim of the walk is to bring about a greater awareness of the importance of breastfeeding as the first food of choice for infants.
We are inviting breastfeeding families and their supporters to:
a) Walk the 2.3 miles in support of breastfeeding (See route: https://goo.gl/maps/Befav)
b) Man water stations, distribute placards and cheer on the walkers
c) Help register participants and setup for the walk
The event will feature the following activities: pre-walk exercise, opportunity to record your breastfeeding monologue, resources, trivia games, prizes and refreshments.
