Join us for a night of 7 incredible new and experimental beersfood pairings, and great company with Alex from Sixpoint on Wed, 03/19 at the new District Tap House near Penn!
 
  • Try the new Hi-Res Double IPA, an 11.1%, 111 IBU version of Sixpoint's already highly sought after Resin. More dry hopping, more aroma, and more...everything make this remarkable.
  • Be some of the only to enjoy the 10.3% Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Otis Oatmeal Stout.  Full of oat creaminess and notes of coconut and vanilla.
  • Enjoy 2 beers from the Spice of Life IPAs - a series of single-hopped IPAs each honing in on the flavors and aroma of one unique hop. Australian Ella hops and the famous Sorachi Ace hops side by side.

Sixpoint Hi-Res

Imperial IPA - 11.1% 111 IBUs
Hi-Res. Zoom on, zoom in, hop out. This beer goes up to eleven. Where the telescope ends, the microscope begins. With massive amounts of late-addition, new-age hops, Hi-Res eschews raw bittering force in favor of lush aroma and hop essence. It still holds to the spirit of Resin, carrying its heft cleanly, and drinks far easier than its 11.1% ABV and 111 IBUs. A full golden body, and a flavor profile driven by mango and passionfruit notes make Hi-Res a bittersweet ode to hops, and perfect for smooth sipping.

Imperial Barrel Aged Otis

Oatmeal Stout - 10.3%
For our very limited release Imperial Otis, we souped up our oatmeal stout recipe and aged it in Willet Bourbon barrels for four months. We then blended it with a small amount of un-oaked Imperial Otis to find balance. It pours black with an extra-dark brown head and is 10.3% ABV. Full of roast malt flavor, delightful oat creaminess, and notes of coconut and vanilla from the aging process. With all the dark chocolate and coconut notes, we think it smells a bit like a delicious chocolate macaroon.

Spice of Life - Ella

India Pale Ale (IPA) - 6.3%
The Spice of Life Series is an ongoing experiment in which Sixpoint produces a single-hop IPA with 12 different hop strains over the course of the year. All other elements of the recipe remain the same. Featuring the Australian Ella hops, relative of Galaxy Hops. Floral, subtle spice, and grapefruity.

Spice of Life - Sorachi Ace

India Pale Ale (IPA) - 6.5%
The Spice of Life Series is an ongoing experiment in which Sixpoint produces a single-hop IPA with 12 different hop strains over the course of the year. All other elements of the recipe remain the same. Sorachi hops were inteded to be a more potent version of Saaz, but instead Sorachi Ace is notable for its particular notes of lemongrass, lemon peel and lemon verbena, with hints of pepper and dill.

Gorilla Warfare Porter

Robust Porter - 7%
Gorilla Warfare Porter is a silky smooth porter made with 40 lbs of Park Slope's Gorilla Coffee Ethiopian Yergacheffe blend, a Fair Trade and Organic Certified coffee roasted in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The coffee has winey, spicy notes with hints of baker's chocolate. Combined with patent malt, the signature of many great English-style porters, this is one silky smooth, coffee-rich porter.

Sixpoint Brothers Quinn Rauchbier

Classic Rauchbier - 7%
Winner of the 2013 Homebrew Alley competition, Jeff Quinn was brought in to brew a batch of his award winning beer with Sixpoint. There is a touch of sweetness, balanced by a dry, smoke-enhanced finish. The beer pours beautifully, its tall bone-white head capping a golden brew. The all-German hop bitterness is mild, only present for balance. Smoke, subtle malt sweetness, salty-savory flavors, and a drying finish manage depth and complexity without compromising balance.

Bengali Tiger IPA

American IPA - 6.4% 62 IBUs
What immortal hand or eye. Could frame thy fearful symmetry? The Sixpoint homebrewed IPA interpretation. Blaze orange in color, with an abundance of citrus hop bitterness, and a full pine and grapefruit bouquet in the aroma.
